Overview
A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Support Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for its litigation paralegal team. This individual will oversee the delivery of high-quality legal support across all phases of litigation, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with firm-wide objectives. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with deep litigation experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage paralegal support throughout all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness in paralegal work such as document review, filings, and exhibit preparation.
- Oversee workflow design, case assignment, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and client service.
- Monitor deadlines and compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Serve as a key liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and firm leadership to maintain alignment and effective communication.
- Collaborate with legal leadership to forecast staffing needs and balance workloads across teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance staff skills and career growth.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning.
- Manage vendor relationships related to litigation support and technology services.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in litigation support.
- Lead or participate in firm-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or advanced legal training preferred.Minimum of 10 years of litigation paralegal experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Comprehensive knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery rules, trial preparation, and court filing systems.Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to handle complex workloads and competing priorities.Proficiency with litigation support software (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap, Concordance, TrialDirector, PACER).Experience managing trial logistics and large-scale litigation projects.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Familiarity with legal technology, including AI tools and cloud-based solutions.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and client service acumen.Ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization in a deadline-driven environment.Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
