POSITION : Child Care Worker / Full Time PROGRAM : Residential Treatment / Group Home

REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred, CPR / First Aid Certified, Valid Driver’s License, pass all background checks and physical, and stay current with required training hours

REPORT TO : Team Leader, Coordinator, House Manager, Director of Operations

RESPONSIBILITES :

1) Supervise and monitor resident’s daily activities and routine.

2) Keep records (case notes, IR’s, behavioral objectives) on individual residents, including daily observations and information about activities, behaviors and social interactions with peers.

3) Perform direct care functions (assist with ADL’s and ensures residents, spiritual, emotional and physical needs).

4) Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games, painting, drawing, crafts, singing, etc.

5) Assist in preparing food for residents and serve meals and refreshments to residents.

6) Teach social and independent living skills.

7) Provide coping skills, verbally attempt to de-escalate residents when in crisis. Use approved physical crisis interventions as a last resort to keep residents and staff safe.

8) Contribute to a positive work environment by following Genacross’ mission and vision statements.

9) Communicate with co-workers and supervisors to help create safe environment for residents and staff. Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

10) Report allegations of abuse / neglect to proper organization leadership and proper authorities.

11) Assist in keeping work sites clean.

12) Attend Service Plan Review Meetings.

13) Follow all agency policies.

14) Implement and follow all universal precautions, disaster plans and hazardous material protocol.

15) Must meet all physical demand requirements.

16) All other duties as assigned.

    Job Summary :

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students, promoting health education, and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.

    Duties :

    • Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
    • Maintain accurate medical documentation and student health records
    • Assess and address urgent care needs within the school setting
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive care
    • Educate students on health-related topics and promote wellness initiatives

    Qualifications :

    • Valid Pennsylvania RN license
    • Previous experience in schools preferred

    Hours : 32.5 (8 : 15am 3 : 15pm)

    Shift : AM

    Local Rate : $42 hr, $63 ot $1,365 weekly gross

    RN will be working in nursing office administrating medications and handling scrapes / bruises at an elementary school but must be willing to float to other schools as needed.
