Reliability engineers are professionals responsible for ensuring that a business’s equipment and processes operate at optimal levels and meet the needs of the organization.
Their main goal is to increase equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency. They achieve this by analyzing data, identifying problems, and developing solutions for potential equipment issues before they occur.

This role requires someone who can efficiently and effectively oversee our delivery of operational and engineering services for not just one, but for multiple clients and multiple sites.
Sites are a mixed between manufacturing, R&D, Industrial, Chemical and pharmaceutical. The total square footage is over 35 million square feet combined a of one of our key financial institution clients.
With such a lot at stake, you must have the ability to carry out and follow through on procedures that are vital in critical environments and general building services engineering (e.
g., critical equipment maintenance and upkeep). This will be overseeing and designing a robust Pdm program for a few of our key clients in our industrial and pharma verticals.
Your knowledge, views, and technical expertise will allow you to keep a lookout for opportunities to develop, innovate, and share within the global engineering teams programs that not only reduce costs, but also increase productivity.
Spotting developments in international best practices and figuring out how to apply them locally is a constant, yet rewarding, challenge.
This role also puts you in a unique position to promote our sustainability service strategies for achieving measurable improvements in energy use.
Bridging gaps in processes and controls
As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll contribute to the optimization of processes, tools and documentation. At the front of your mind at all times is completion and compliance of the critical environment management (CEM) audit process.
Keeping planned preventive maintenance programs and service contracts in place and the work practices of contractors in check are also your mandate.
Safety first’ mindset is critical and a key to a successful program, ensure that you follow the safety requirements per client and per site and that they meet with JLL’s standards.
Leading and growing our engineering teams.
In this role, you’ll manage our teams of engineering and facility management experts, ensuring that members have the skills, direction, and information they need to level up their know-how in delivering engineering services.
You’ll equip them with the right training and support them in getting their accreditations. Working hand in hand with line managers, you’ll also be responsible for recruitment, performance planning and evaluations, succession planning and pay and reward programs.

The key assignment for the role is the following :
- Securing a seamless (no interruptions) and mitigate downtime on equipment system
- Implementing the improvement plan that leads to our contractual commitments around costs and quality
- Securing a constructive relationship with our client and our key vendor to deliver the improvement plan
Responsibilities :
- The Reliability Engineer is crucial role in the Site Team and in the Subject Matter Expert network in support of JLL Operations in APAC.
- Role is first to find improvement opportunities in the existing practices, and second to provide analytical support, training and coordination on all areas concerning engineering reliability management.
- This includes (and is not limited to) the development and evaluation of CMMS and BMS data and routine performance trending.
- The person in this role drives improvement based on in-depth know how of the systems in scope, and through that knowledge optimizes the systems in-scope, their operations, and the related CMMS procedures.
S / he is a competent consultant / business analyst to train Engineering teams.

Reliability Engineer Duties :
- Defines and implements reliability improvement plans, recommend improvements on maintenance processes (job plans, planning, up to spare parts) and asset and system improvements
- Provides in-house consulting activities to advise and counsel personnel on a variety of complicated processes / procedures
- Stimulates the team to define proposals and evaluates these on merit to determine the underlying cause of problems.
- Performs root cause analysis and reports to prevent future failures
- Coordinates with JLL’s Reliability Engineering teams for implementation of all JLL tools, best practices and provides subject matter expertise
- Analyses and improves operational Engineering Performance
- Completion rates of PPM and CM, service delivery interruptions to exceed contractual KPIs
- Propose and drives the action plan to correct any deviations in Site performance.
- In charged or working with different countries, sites ops team and client for reporting requirement, generate and consolidate for submission of reports as per requirement.
- Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.

- Finding new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, Business, or related field desirable
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Reliability Subject Matter Expert, Performance Analytics, Data Analytics
- Analytical thinking : the ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with large sets of data and make sense of them.
- Technical aptitude : a strong understanding of the systems, equipment, and processes at hand. This includes knowledge of the engineering principles and specific systems used at an organization.

- Communication : the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Project management : the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively including planning, scheduling, and organizing.
- Data management skills : the ability to use statistical analysis tools as well as the ability to interpret and communicate the results of the analysis.
- A continuous improvement mindset : identifying and implementing ways to continuously improve reliability.
- Safety-conscious : the ability to identify potential hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
- Expert and knowledge of all engineering disciplines in scope
- Practical experience in Hard Services contract delivery, in cleanroom environments and building properties.
- Proven track record of compliance
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of the application of engineering reliability tools
- Ability to simplify the complex : Explain difficult technical improvements in understandable terms to various stakeholders (including non-technical)
- Capacity to deal with ambiguity and solve complex problems effectively; knows when to escalate
- Analytical, proven ability to solve problems using an objective approach
- Strong communicator, both verbally & written, in English and Italian
- Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives
- Quality Management knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated process orientation and data driven skill sets Strong aptitude for technology and systems
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite specifically in Excel supporting data analytics and manipulation
- Proficiency in SmartSheet, MS SharePoint, and data visualizations preferred

- Preferred experience with JLL Next Generation Maintenance
- Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
