About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night and Day Shifts available

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) background with experience floating.

License : Current California nursing license is required.

Certifications : BLS and PALS required.

Must-Have :

• Experience floating within a pediatric critical care environment.
• Strong technical skills, including arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to work 4-5 weekend shifts and be on-call as needed.

Description :

This is a floating position within a pediatric critical care environment.

The role requires willingness to work 2 out of 3 holidays, including holiday eves.

Shifts are variable, including a combination of day and night shifts.

The position encompasses supervising and caring for critically ill pediatric patients.

The ideal candidate must have experience administering blood products and managing central lines.

Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

The role involves working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

Candidates will be working in high-acuity settings with a diverse range of clinical presentations.
