Contract Manager's Duties :
- Managing and overseeing contractual agreements and relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the defense and aerospace industry.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, negotiating favorable terms, and mitigating risks associated with contractual obligations.
- Working closely with various departments, including legal, procurement, and project management, to facilitate effective contract administration and execution.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and other legal agreements related to defense and aerospace projects.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identifying and addressing contractual risks, liabilities, and obligations.
- Collaborating with legal counsel to resolve contractual disputes or issues.
- Developing and maintaining contract templates, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
- Monitoring contract performance, deliverables, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Implementing effective change management processes and assessing the impact of contract modifications.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Facilitating clear and timely communication between parties involved in the contract.
- Providing guidance and support to project teams on contractual matters, including interpretation of terms and conditions.
- Identifying and assessing potential risks and liabilities associated with contracts and proposing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitoring and reporting on contract performance, compliance, and financial implications.
- Conducting periodic contract audits to ensure adherence to terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices pertaining to defense and aerospace contracts.
- Promoting ethical behavior and adherence to company policies throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Ensuring compliance with export control regulations, security clearances, and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements.
Knowledge / Skills / Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is highly desirable.Previous experience (typically 5+ years) in contracts management or a similar role within the defense and aerospace industry.Strong knowledge of defense and aerospace contracting regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).Familiarity with contract management software and tools.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently.Understanding of technical and legal terminology relevant to the defense and aerospace industry.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
