Responsibilities

Wellstar is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established and growing Ear Nose & Throat practice. Wellstar ENT Roswell is home to our Head and Neck Cancer program where we care for patients at Wellstar North Fulton Cancer Center, a 12 million dollar state of the art comprehensive care center.

This position typically requires working with patients of all ages in a clinic setting, assisting in the operating room and rounding on hospitalized patients. Weekend rounding required (shared with team).

In this role you will :

Perform first OR assist duties

Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail.

Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.

Write progress notes; prepare patient work‐ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.

Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Complete pre‐op appointments for surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery.

Participate as a full member of a multi‐disciplinary care team

Qualifications

Must hold a

Physician Assistant

or

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with RNFA

or

Dual Acute Care and Family Certified Nurse Practitioner with RNFA (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire)

Previous ENT experience preferred

OR experience or training preferred

ACLS / BLS required
