Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Clinical Faculty within the Dental Hygiene Program are responsible for providing hands-on clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation of dental hygiene students in a clinical educational environment. Faculty members play a critical role in ensuring students develop competent clinical skills and adhere to the professional and ethical standards of dental hygiene practice.

Nature of work :

  • Supervision of dental hygiene students in clinical settings.
  • Evaluation of student clinical competencies.
  • Instruction in radiographic and dental hygiene procedures.
  • Assessment and feedback on student performance.
  • Maintenance of clinical documentation and records.
  • Serving as a professional role model.
  • Promoting effective patient / student communication.
  • Supporting student learning and clinical progression.

Responsibilities

The Part-Time Dental Hygiene Clinical Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical instruction and evaluation to dental hygiene students. This role includes :

  • Providing direct supervision of students during patient care activities.
  • Assessing student performance in clinical procedures, including dental hygiene techniques and radiographic imaging.
  • Delivering constructive feedback to improve clinical competence and professional behavior.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete documentation of student clinical activities in compliance with legal and programmatic standards.
  • Supporting and modeling effective patient communication and ethical clinical practices.
  • Assisting students in achieving program clinical competencies.
  • Participating in calibration sessions and clinical faculty meetings as requested.
  • Upholding program policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control standards.
  • Promoting student success and professionalism within the clinical learning environment.
  • Required Qualifications

    Candidates for this position must meet the following qualifications :

  • Current and active Georgia Dental hygiene license in good standing with the Georgia Board of Dentistry.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Dental hygiene from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical dental hygiene experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Candidates for this position must meet the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene or any other field of study.
  • At least 2 years of dental hygiene education experience.
  • Local Anesthesia certification for dental hygiene.
  • Proposed Salary
