Position Highlights
Occupational Health at the University of Arizona is in search of a Nurse, Occupational Health (Nurse II). The Nurse II position is responsible for providing case management for employee medical surveillance programs.
The nurse is responsible for administering immunizations and performing lab draws. The nurse is also responsible for maintaining client medical records.
Characteristics of an ideal candidate should include good oral and written communication skills; excellent attention to detail;
computer experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet; and one year experience using an electronic health history or medical record system.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties & responsibilities :
- Nurse will work closely with the Occupational Health nurse practitioners overseeing medical aspects of the OH program and associated medical surveillance activities.
- Provide quality nursing care to OH clients including but not limited to patient education, medication administration, immunizations, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and conducting prelims and other patient care activities as indicated.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the OH program by assisting with arrangements for large-scale medical surveillance groups requiring OH services.
- Work in an interdisciplinary fashion with the OH team to accomplish the needs of the department.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
RN licensure (in good standing) and graduation from an accredited nursing program required and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Current BLS or CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in an occupational health office or clinic setting OR one year public health nursing experience OR one year of case management experience.
- Experience in employee medical surveillance programs.
- Experience in human or animal research related settings.
- One year of college health experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.
