SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Under the direction of the Program Director, per diem staff assist with case management directives, care, and / or instruction to residents. Helps complete forms, securely gather appropriate information required to document, and provide information about Open Door Mission services or provide referrals. Performs room or dorm inspections, supervises client tasks or chores, and ensures all house rules are followed. This position is not responsible for a case load and may require driving for evening and weekend recreational, sober living activities or family field trips. All overnight shifts are required to be awake.
All per diem employees are required to work 24 hours within a 30-day period and required to work the shift they elect.
Please be aware that most available shifts are evenings (4pm-12am), overnights (12am-8am), or weekends.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Direct Service Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support to residents
- Observe, monitor and document resident behaviors as well as progress in accordance with agency standards
- Assist in the implementation and supervision of recreational activities, including Bible readings and / or life skill groups
- Complete household chores assigned by supervisor to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Supervise and document resident medications in accordance with agency policies
- Perform any duties necessary for effective and efficient operation of community residence
Administrative Responsibilities
Regularly practices adherence to Facility / Program / Open Door Mission standards, and ensures documentation / policy requirements are followedObserve all safety rules and regulations for self and others.Utilize Mission Tracker and / or HMIS, and email to record, report, and communicate client informationMaintain appropriate and timely communication with staff and management, especially regarding critical incidentsMay perform prescreen responsibilities for intakeMay secure student resident medicine, and witness usage, and securely maintain documentationMay provide transportation as necessaryMay administer random drug testing and maintain documentationSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
