Geotechnical Engineer

Resource International, Inc., is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer. Ideal candidate will possess a BSCE with a concentration in geotechnical engineering.

This position will require the successful candidate to work in applying geotechnical engineering techniques, procedures and principles on a variety of civil and geotechnical engineering projects.

Typically, projects involve supporting public and private clients within market sectors such as Transportation, Higher Ed, Commercial Development, Water (dams, retention structures).

Responsibilities will include :

• Prepares geotechnical reports detailing subsurface investigations, foundation recommendations, construction monitoring and quality assurance / control phases of work and other field / laboratory studies;
• Perform analyses for design of shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.

Qualifications & Education :

• We are willing to consider entry level candidates and experienced Geotechnical talent.
• Education : Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering; Advanced degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
• Ohio and Indiana-based geotechnical DOT experience strongly desired
• Professional License : Ohio and or Indiana Professional Engineer License (or the ability to acquire within a reasonable timeframe)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
