About The Position

License : RN

Certifications : BLS required; additional certifications specify based on specialty.

Must-Have :

• Critical care experience preferred.
• Trauma experience at Level 1-2.
• EPIC experience required.
• Ability to scrub and circulate.

Description :

Facility type : Level 1 Trauma Center.

Magnet designation and comprehensive Stroke Center.

General unit information : 28 beds including 2 hybrid rooms for cardiovascular / vascular cases.

Handles approximately 60-75 cases per day.

Accepting first-time travelers.

Scrubs provided.

Patient types include :

No liver or lung transplants are included.

Participation in specific cases is required.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1.

Required certifications vary :

Skills required based on role :

Support on unit includes charge nurse and resource nurse without patient assignment.

Anesthesiologists provide bedside monitoring.

Additional support from service line representatives and educators.

Charting system and equipment utilized : EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, and specific hybrid room equipment.

Shifts operate 24 / 7, with notable scheduling including weekend rotations and holiday coverage requirements.

On-call response time of 30 minutes is required.

Sleeping accommodations available for on-call staff members.
