Position Title : Student Pastor Campus : Gilbert
Reports to : Lead Student Pastor Status : Full-time Exempt
Position Summary
The Student Pastor will create an exciting and engaging environment. Lead students to discover and fully own faith in Jesus, reaching and engaging disconnected students in the community. This position connects to the faith and ministry of the church. The Student Pastor position moves forward the vision of Central.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of the Student Ministry.
Community
- Create a safe and engaging environment that attract students
- Connect students to the Central Student Ministry
- Develop students for the next step in their faith
- Participate as a Student Team Member
- Attend all student events and summer camps
- Plan, lead, and execute Kingdom Worker Trips
- Run, plan, and execute a student leadership team
- Create an engaging environment on Sunday mornings for students and families
- Execute and own CSM Programming
- Manage communication between Student Team and Campus Pastor
- Provide and implement strategic leadership and initiatives for student ministry
- Develop and adhere to safety procedures, in cooperation with Campus and Leadership teams
- Develop, maintain, and grow partnerships with families, school administrators, and organizations
- Develop, maintain, and grow Sunday morning engagement for Students in the Worship Center.
- Other duties as assigned
Leadership Development
Recruit, develop and empower students to serve in other ministriesDevelop and equip a student leadership teamRecruiting leaders and developing and equipping them so they can lead students to JesusAttend all church wide / campus specific eventsAttend weekly team meetings in student ministries as requiredAttend Campus Lead Team meetings as requiredPastor-on-Call RotationOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Experience
Three years experience in management preferredExperience leading student ministryExperience in multi-site campusesFamiliar with the popular culture of studentsProficient in MS Word, Excel and OutlookSelf motivatedAbility to work as a member of a teamPersonal Expectations :
