We are seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement and fleet activities across the organization. This role is responsible for supervising the company’s purchasing function and Fleet Coordinator, managing supplier and fleet service relationships, and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and vehicles. The successful candidate will implement purchasing and fleet management strategies, monitor vendor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards. This position plays a key role in driving cost savings, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement within both the procurement and fleet management functions.

- Collaborate with operations and warehouse leadership to ensure procurement resources align with company objectives.
Operational Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and supervise the Purchasing team and Fleet Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant operations.Develop and execute procurement and fleet management strategies that support company goals and budget targets.Request and evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, and performance.Oversee fleet operations including vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules, and coordination with Enterprise Fleet Management.Approve purchase orders and verify compliance with budgets and company policies before management review.Maintain strong vendor and fleet partner relationships to drive cost savings and service reliability.Onboard new vendors by collecting and verifying required documentation (W-9, COI) and ensuring compliance with company standards.Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecards and conduct regular evaluations for quality, delivery, and cost performance.Partner with Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams to forecast material demand and manage inventory levels.Oversee blanket purchase orders, stocking programs, and vendor held inventory to reduce lead times.Implement purchasing and fleet policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure safety, compliance, and cost control.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.Strong vendor management, negotiation, and organizational skills.Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office tools.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related fieldFamiliarity with natural gas infrastructure.Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems.Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in an office and warehouse environment.Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of materials and equipment up to 25 lbs.Periodic stooping, reaching, bending, or climbing short ladders during warehouse inspections.Work may be performed in both office and warehouse settings, with occasional outdoor exposure.Moderate noise levels consistent with office and warehouse operations.Benefits
