About Kadince

Kadince (pronounced cadence) is a fully remote (must live in the USA) software company founded in 2013. In a nutshell, we build tools to help compliance and marketing professionals at financial institutions do their jobs more efficiently.

Kadince has been profitable for several years (were fans of making more than we spend). Were bootstrapped, which means we dont have investors. So our owners answer to no one. And they arent just giving us commands from their vacation homes waiting to cash their next check. Theyre fellow team members and in the trenches with us.

Were dedicated to giving each customer the best experience possible, which means making sure they know about all the wonderful tools we offer. Who We Want to Hire

To be a Senior Upsell Representative at Kadince, you should be confident and well-spoken. You enjoy connecting with others and building on the relationships started by other members of our team. You have a lot of grit and drive, but are also humble and open to feedback.

Sales experience is required (preferably in a B2B SaaS space).

You work well in fast-paced professional environments and can juggle many things (bonus points if you can juggle actual objects). You have strong writing and speaking skills. Proper grammar and spelling dont scare you (expect to write a lot of emails).

You have a desire to continually learn and improve your people skills. We love giving team members opportunities to improve their skills, whether through online courses, workshops, or learning from others.

Our vision and mission arent something we hung on the office wall and forgot about. Seriously, we dont have an office, let alone a wall to hang them on. But our vision, mission, and core values sit on the desks of each of our team members. And we discuss them regularly in our meetings. Your goals and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) will be developed to ensure youre working to help us achieve our vision and mission.

Our vision and mission are what get us up each morning. They, in addition to our core values, help us make decisions.

Were big fans of authorJim Collins and his best-selling book, Good to Great (bonus points if youve read it). While there are lots of good software companies out there, we want to be one of the great ones.

The first word of our vision is also significant. To go high school English class on you, the present participle setting illustrates that werenot looking to set the standard and then be done, but that the standard is always moving and were always chasing it. We continually stop to recognize the awesome things weve done and then look for ways to do them even better.

What a Day in the Life of a Senior Upsell Representative Looks Like

At the start of your day, you check your calendar to see which upsell demos are coming up. There are two scheduled for today, so you take some time to dive into their accounts and prepare personalized presentations based on their specific needs. One of your demos today is a bank looking to add the Loans product to their subscription, so you jump into your Kadince demo environment and create some widgets and reports that will really show our product off.

By the time you finish preparing for the demo, its time to jump on the call! The customer youre working with is really friendly, so you spend a few minutes catching up and building a nice rapport. We havent forgotten that the people on the other side of the screen are just thatpeople! After a few good laughs, you jump into the demo.

The demo goes really well, and afterward you prepare a pricing proposal to send to the prospect. You create a Salesforce follow-up task for next week, and then you move onto answering some emails.

Now its time for lunch, so you grab your car keys (and your dog!) and surprise your significant other at work with a sandwich and soda. You eat together and talk about your plans for the evening while your adorable puppy runs around the grass and works out his energy.

Back at work, you meet with your leader to discuss upsell strategies and new customer opportunities. You always learn a lot from Brandon, and having someone to dive into the weeds with is a great way to up your sales game.

Now you spend some time in Salesforce diving deep into accounts and learning as much as you can about the customers youre working with. You give your second demo of the day and take care of those follow-up tasks. This one has a really good shot at signing!

You end your day with a fun team meeting (lots of jokes are involved). You take a look at your calendar for tomorrow and plan accordingly.

When and Where Youd Work and What Youd Work On

Kadince is a principle-based company, which means we focus on principles, not policies. Since were a fully remote company, youll speak with Brandon Checketts, your leader, to determine when and where youll work. Youll also work with your leader each week, month, quarter, and year to review your goals / KPI and what you've been working on.

The principle is to work when and where you want as long as you meet or exceed your KPI. This may mean working when our customers work or planning your day around team meetings. Or working a longer day because youll be out of the office for the next week. Overall, your schedule needs to help you achieve our vision and mission and demonstrate our core values.

At Kadince, work wont tie you down to one location. Youll have the flexibility to work remotely and even change locations from time to time. Want to spend a few weeks somewhere newmaybe exploring a different state or another country? Thats totally possible, as long as its approved by HR ahead of time to make sure everythings good from a legal and tax standpoint. Just make sure that wherever you plan to work has a reliable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps download and 1-2 Mbps upload (as if you would go anywhere without it anyway).

Who Youd Be Working With

We have over 45 team members (which makes us really happy since Kadince was started by two people in their basements). If hired, youll probably work with each team member in one way or another. Some of the people youll work with most frequently are :

Brandon is our wonderful Director of Sales. Hes been with Kadince since 2018 and loves to grow his professional skills. Brandon is a self-proclaimed aviation geek. He loves to watch airplanes and learn everything he can about them. He seems to be going somewhere new every week. Where will he be this weekend? Nobody knows!

Morgan is one of our awesome Sales Managers, which means she gives demos and initiates contact with new banks and credit unions around the country. Morgan has two massive dogs (one weighs 120 pounds), and she loves to explore new trails with them. Morgan loves to chase hard things and learn everything she can, which is why she picks up so many new hobbies. But one of her favorite things to do is write books (which is so cool!).

Jordan, a Sales Development Representative, was born in Texas but has lived all over. He joined the Kadince team at the end of 2023 and is doing some great work. Jordan loves to learn and grow, and his goal is to be a positive force for everyone in his life. He loves to set goals for himself and find creative ways to reach them. The coolest fact about him? Somehow, Jordan has two spleens.
