ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in San Marcos, Texas.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • 3 twelve-hour shifts required per week

    • \n

  • Must have PCU experience as floating to PCU is required as needed

    • \n

  • Manage patients on cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Lasix, Heparin, and Dobutamine

    • \n

  • Care for patients on bipaps and high flow oxygen

    • \n

  • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process

    • \n

  • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

    • \n

  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness

    • \n

  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

    • \n

  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

    • \n

  • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers

    • \n

  • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

    • \n

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

    • \n

  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)

    • \n

  • Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)

    • \n

  • RN License in state of employment or compact state required

    • \n\n
