Position Overview
The Mitigation Manager is responsible for leading the mitigation division, overseeing all aspects of water, mold, fire, and smoke restoration projects. They provide guidance to Project Managers and field teams, ensuring jobs are completed according to industry standards, company policies, and budget expectations.
This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer service . The Mitigation Manager will also ensure compliance with insurance requirements, maintain job profitability, and foster a positive work environment for employees.
In addition to daily operations oversight , this position involves developing staff, monitoring job progress, and maintaining strong relationships with adjusters, clients, and vendors. You will be responsible for upholding quality control and ensuring that all mitigation processes align with IICRC standards and company expectations.
Job Responsibilities
Directly supervise and provide leadership to Project Managers, Lead Technicians, and Mitigation Technicians
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
5+ years of experience in water, mold, or fire mitigation (preferably in a leadership role).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
IICRC Certifications highly preferred
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects at once.
Ability to train, coach, and develop field employees at all levels.
Proficiency in estimating software (Xactimate) and documentation platforms
Strong customer service and communication skills —ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple job sites efficiently
Experience in insurance claims processes, billing, and collections preferred
Must be available for on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies
