Manages the Payroll Support Shared Service Team of Supervisors, Accounting Clerks II - Payroll. This team is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Field Payroll and all procedures and process improvements.
This position has been segmented has Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.
Responsibilities :
Functions as partner for Broadline Area leadership and Corp Finance Teams.
Drive Business Results :
- Manages the labor and operational costs of the Payroll Support Team (PST) achieving spending targets defined in the annual business planning process
- Manages performance of the PST to achieve published service level agreements (SLA)
- Minimize the cost of incremental costs due to off-cycle checks, fines and penalties associated with inaccurate or late payments to unions and other third parties
- Enables the Area Leadership teams and Corp Finance Teams to focus on driving business results through performance of standardized payroll tasks by the PST
- Applies continuous improvement to always be creating value through reduced errors and improved efficiency of processes
Financial Reporting, Forecasting and Analysis :
Partner with the Corporate Finance leadership to create and deliver timely and accurate financial statementsAccurately forecast financial results of the FST for all Corporate planning processesEstablishes and Maintains Controls - Ownership of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance throughout the FST work productProvide support to the Area Finance leadership teams as the point of contact for all PST process management affecting Area resultsLeads Payroll Support Team :
Direct oversight of a virtual team of Supervisors - PST who manage a team of 35-50 Accounting Clerk IIsGuide, coach and development of the PST staffCoordinate efforts of direct and indirect reports to ensure that daily, monthly, quarterly and annual responsibilities are metComplete ad hoc projects, analysis and initiatives as requestedOther duties as assigned by managerSupervision :

7 years of payroll, accounting and / or financial analysis experience or five years in public accounting3 years of people management or supervisory experience of payroll, accounting, financial analysis or public accounting staffBroad skill set in financial analysis, and financial forecastingProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels in the organizationStrong communication skillsAbility to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environmentOvernight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company eventsEducation :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or FinancePreferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOXExperience leading teams in a virtual / remote shared service environmentIndustry experiencePayroll and Human Resource CertificationsThis role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and / or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example : state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$85,000 - $140,000
