Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective primary care

to underserved communities throughout the Monterey Bay area — including Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties.

Position Highlights

Flexible 4-day workweek

(full-time or part-time options)

All outpatient

practice – no hospital call

Full-spectrum

Family Medicine panel , including dedicated pediatrics time (if desired)

Average 20 patients per day

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range :

$270,400 – $304,337.58 per year

Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes :

Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

Develop and manage a family practice panel providing comprehensive, attentive care.

Conduct physical exams, order and interpret labs / imaging, prescribe medications, and recommend lifestyle modifications.

Perform procedures within training and privileges.

Collaborate across Salud’s departments — including Pediatrics, OB, Behavioral Health, Dental, and Community Health Services.

Refer to specialists as appropriate and manage urgent situations when necessary.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the

electronic health record (EHR) .

Work closely with management to maintain provider productivity standards.

Professional Conduct

Communicate respectfully with patients, staff, and community partners of diverse backgrounds.

Model professional collaboration and teamwork within the healthcare team.

Support recruitment of physicians and advanced practice clinicians.

Engage with community organizations, educational institutions, and professional societies to enhance outreach.

Maintain compliance with clinic policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Valid

California Physician’s License

and

DEA License

Current

CPR Certification

and

California Driver’s License

Board Certified or Board Eligible

in Family Medicine (preferred)

Ability to obtain and maintain

hospital admitting privileges

at local hospitals

Preferred Qualifications :

Bilingual (Spanish / English)

Bi-cultural

awareness and experience serving diverse communities
