Job description

Title : Senior Software Test Engineer

Location : 6501 Six Forks Road, Raleigh NC

I will consider applicants that show competitive experience and skillset in developing test automation of the GUI of the Desktop applications
Applicants resume should show strong experience ( more than 7 years) in software testing in their past jobs given this is a "Senior" title

Description

1- Design and execute automated software testing frameworks, including the development of unit and functional test scripts using tools such as SQUISH for GUI of Desktop Application

2- Conduct comprehensive manual testing to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience across various scenarios.

3- Perform other duties as assigned based on the business needs.

Strong Test Automation for Desktop GUI

Hands-on experience automating desktop application UI testing

Experience developing automation frameworks

Specific tool mentioned : Squish (for GUI automation)

Ability to build and run unit + functional automated test scripts

Senior-Level Experience

7+ years in software testing

Demonstrated senior-level responsibilities in previous roles (not just years but quality of experience)

Solid understanding of QA processes, strategy, and best practices

Manual Testing Capability

Able to perform thorough manual testing

Validate functional behavior, performance, and UX

Able to design test cases and execute them across different scenarios

Well-rounded Testing Skill Set

Mix of automation + manual testing

Adapts to business needs ("other duties as assigned" implies flexibility)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
