Lab Technician

Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Naperville, IL

• Temp to hire
• M-F 8AM-5PM
• Pay : $28 / hr

Job Responsibilities

Perform various water treatment testing, water sample analysis and chemical evaluation

Make chemical formulation and perform testing under guidance

Assist in establishing testing methodology and set up testing equipment

Maintains the laboratory and equipment in a safe, clean, neat, and orderly condition.

Logs samples and records results in notebooks and other spreadsheets, maintaining a written / electronic record of lab results and activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Conduct activities in a safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or Biology, would prefer at least 1-2 years lab experience
• Works independently on wet chemistry experiments
• Data entry and basic analysis in Excel
• Can manage time independently
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Can communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
• Microsoft Office

Preferred skills

• BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Independent drive to complete task and seek out areas of support
• Experience in sample prep, formulation
• Basic analytical competencies
• Reports observation outside of specified measurements
• Summarize experiments and results in PowerPoint
