Safety Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Construction Safety Specialist to coordinate safety protocols and compliance within our telecommunications construction operations and enterprise-wide. The ideal candidate will have a background in workplace safety preferably in telecommunications infrastructure projects (or similar construction projects), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety among our workforces.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures specific to telecommunication construction projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide safety training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in telecommunications projects and enterprise-wide.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into project planning and execution phases.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues and communicate safety expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
