Overview :
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Sponsored Repo or Repo trading systems to bridge business requirements with technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with front office, operations, and technology teams to analyze, document, and implement business and technical requirements that enhance the firm's repo trading and collateral management platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
Act as the liaison between business users, traders, operations, and technology teams for Sponsored Repo initiatives.
Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements related to repo trading workflows, settlement, and collateral management.
Analyze current system functionality and identify gaps or enhancement opportunities for repo trading platforms.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications , user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) .
Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation validation.
Maintain detailed process documentation, data flow diagrams, and reporting requirements.
Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical BA in financial services.
Solid understanding of Repo / Sponsored Repo / Securities Financing Transactions (SFTs) .
Hands-on experience working with front-to-back trade lifecycle systems (e.g., trade capture, settlement, collateral, clearing).
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (APIs, data models, SQL queries, XML / JSON).
Strong skills in requirements gathering , process mapping , and data analysis .
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with DTCC , FICC Sponsored Repo , or similar platforms.
Familiarity with collateral optimization , triparty repo , and clearing workflows .
Exposure to AWS , SQL , JIRA , and Confluence tools.
Knowledge of trade processing systems such as Murex, Calypso, Broadridge, or similar.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Finance , Economics , Computer Science , or a related discipline.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP , Agile BA , FINRA ) are a plus.
