Job descriptionThe Information Technology SME will serve as a senior technical advisor providing subject matter expertise in system integration, data management, and application performance for the EFS-PROD environment. This role supports system continuity, scalability, and modernization aligned with IRS enterprise standards. The IT SME will be performing work at IRS New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB) located at 5000 Ellin Rd, Lanham, MD 20706 as required. $145,000-$150,000 Responsibilities / Duties : Provide expert guidance on system architecture, cloud integration, and data management. Analyze system performance metrics and recommend optimization strategies. Support release management and troubleshooting for Pega-based solutions. Ensure solutions align with IRS enterprise architecture and security compliance. Collaborate with the Program Executive and Pega Consultant on modernization roadmaps. 10+ years of experience supporting large-scale Federal IT systems. Expertise in Pegasystems, AWS cloud environments, and relational data systems. Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise-level upgrades and integrations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills in cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline. Advanced technical certifications (AWS, ITIL, or Pega) preferred.
