Job Purpose
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge tactical systems that merge communications, networking, virtual environments, and power electronics at the edge. You will work closely with customers, program managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and guide development from concept through deployment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attaining sales, service, and signed contract quotas as assigned by the General ManagerIdentifying and profiling National AccountsDesigning and presenting presentations to meet customers' expectationsWorking closely with the Directors VP of Sales and Marketing on contract construction and negotiationMaintaining close contact with National Account personnel at both the local and national levelWorking with company sales and service network to properly maintain National AccountsMaintain and grow existing accounts by ensuring a high level of customer service, coordinating company responses to customer technical requests, and negotiating favorable pricing and contract termsIdentify new customers in target market segments and secure new customer relationshipsGenerate accurate cost estimates based on a statement of work and evaluate risks associated with new projectsRepresent customer interests in the product development process and internal production initiatives relating to efficiency and cost reductionTrack weekly and monthly Business Development performance through weekly and monthly performance metrics and report to Senior ManagementSupport the development and execution of a strategic planRepresent the company at industry events and conferencesThis position may have supervisory responsibilitiesQualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to tactical communications systems, including the deployment, integration, and support of such products in field environments.Proven expertise in tactical networking architectures, IP-based radio systems, and secure communications to include routers and switches.Strong hands-on experience with virtual machines, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare, Oracle, RHEL), and edge computing concepts.Familiarity with power electronics and power management systems for mobile or ruggedized use cases is a plus.Strong understanding of systems engineering principles (e.g., MBSE, SysML, trade studies, CONOPS development).Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or deploying systems in military or government environments.
Knowledge of DISA STIGs, accreditation frameworks, or DoD acquisition lifecycle.
Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CCNA / CCNP, or equivalent.
Active or prior security clearance is a strong plus
