Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide 6 months of locum coverage with the intention to transition to a permanent position at a busy hospital-based Level II Trauma Center.

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys rural medicine, hands-on critical care, and working independently in a dynamic emergency setting. 🚨

Position Details :

🕒 Shift Length : 10–12 hours (varied)

👥 Patient Volume : ~1.4 patients per hour

📋 EMR : EPIC

🏥 Setting : Hospital – Level II Trauma Center

🧑‍⚕️ Midlevel Support : None – independent coverage

Required Clinical Skills :

• ️ Intubation
• ️ Chest tube placement
• ️ Central line insertion
• ️ Procedural sedation
• ️ OB / GYN procedures & deliveries
• ️ Adult & pediatric resuscitation

Candidate Requirements :

✅ Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only)

✅ Active North Dakota medical license

✅ DEA registration

✅ Certifications required : PALS, ATLS, ACLS
