Job Title : Equipment Maintenance Technician I
Location : 820 First Street, Washington, DC 20002 (Onsite)

Pay Rate:$26/hr on W2

What We Do
Our team of building maintenance technicians at WBD provide critical facilities and building support maintenance to serve our customer, CNN.
Project
This team supports broadcast activities and operations for CNN studios in DC, working directly with internal and external stakeholders, as well as on air talent. The individual hired will be performing work involving maintenance and operation responsibilities. They are responsible for working with lead BMT s, electricians and HVAC technicians to maintain building operations.
Job Responsibilities
Transportation/Facilities 25%
Driving of company vehicles to transport talent, crew, and equipment to broadcast or news locations.
Set up and tear down for bureau and special events on and off site.
Restocking of office supplies and concessions
Other duties as needed.
Building Maintenance Technician - 75%
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace critical infrastructure MEP equipment including, pumps, motors, UPS s, power generation, chillers and cooling towers.
- Use hand tools, battery and corded power tools, key cutting machines, specialty hand and finish tools, use precise measuring devices to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Perform routine building maintenance operations such as changing light bulbs, dry wall repair, painting, etc.
- Performs office and departmental moves including desk, furniture, televisions, etc.
- Restocking of office supplies and concessions
- Other duties as needed.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience in basic facilities maintenance.
- 0-3 years of basic computer skills.
- Must be able to carry/lift occasional loads over 75lbs.
- Must be flexible to accommodate bureau emergencies where they will be expected to work occasional overtime and/or shifts other than assigned.
- Must have valid driver s license.
- Must have familiarity with the DMV Area to perform transportation responsibilities.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
- 0-3 years of UPS experience
- HVAC certification
- CFC Certification
