Job descriptionJob Description : SimpliFi Interviews Facility : Willis-Knighton Bossier Health Center Patient Types : Medical / Surgical / Telemetry; General surgery Patient Ratios : RN : Days - 1 : 5 with tech; 1 : 4 without tech; Nights – 1 : 6 with tech; 1 : 5 without tech CNA : Days – 1 : 16; Nights – 1 : 23 Skills required : Medication administration, Telemetry experience, Wound care, Continuous bladder irrigation, IV insertion skills, Cardiac drips (non-titrating), Oxygen administration, Central line management / care, Pre & Post op care, NG tube placement and care, management of G-tubes Charting System / Equipment : EMR : Meditech Expanse, IV Pumps : Alaris, Medication dispensing : Pyxis Floating : Units : 2 West and 3 West Orientation : 3 days hospital orientation, 2 shifts orienting to unit Minimum years of experience : 1 year Will accept a first-time traveler : Yes Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS are required NIHSS (preferred) Weekend rotation : Every other Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week – this is mandatory Can we approve time off? Yes, up to 7 days; must extend to accommodate a 13-week contract May only request (1) weekend off per 13-week contract Call required : None Holiday Expectations : Must work 2 / 3 major holidays Black out dates : Halloween 2024; Black Friday 2024 Support on the Unit : Charge nurse will take patient assignment Phlebotomy : Yes, shared responsibility with RN IV / VAT Team : Yes, for midline / central lines only RT, 24 / 7 Hospitalist available, 24 / 7 OT, PT, ST Remote Tele monitoring (RN will confirm tele tech readings once per shift) Scrub Color : Pewter Parking : Free in designated areas Culture on the unit : Traveler friendly Professionalism is a mandatory requirement – no cell phone usage in patient care areas, earbuds cannot be worn, no eating at desk
