Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of public accounting experience and agriculture industry knowledge, with a strong understanding of both GAAP and the nuances of ag finance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
Supervise accounting staff and coordinate workflow
Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations
Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals
Support strategic financial planning and decision-making

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting
Experience in agriculture or related industry strongly preferred
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proven leadership and team management abilities
