MRI Technologist Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The position requires evening shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 1 PM to 11 PM, with on-call responsibilities 1-2 times a month as needed.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will perform MRI scans on patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer MRI scans while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
  • Prepare and maintain MRI equipment.
  • Inject contrast media as needed, with required NY state licensure.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Must have an active NY state license to practice as an MRI technologist.
  • ARRT-MR certification is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exceptions or exemptions.
  • Philips experience is preferred, but other Philips experience will be considered.
