Highly analytical, deadline-driven professional who completes accounting and payroll tax activities with speed and accuracy. Mailing to agency checks and corresponding documents. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as support for junior staff and offshore tax team members
  • Responsible for quarterly tax balancing and filing of Federal, State and Local tax returns in all jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and submit amended reports as needed.
  • Frequent communication with customers and taxing agencies to resolve customer tax notices.
  • Reconcile tax data between Payroll System and Tax Software.
  • Ensure clients are billed correctly for their taxes.
  • Coordinate the distribution of W2's.
  • File annual reconciliations and W2's with tax agencies at year end.
  • Provide outstanding tax service support by responding to and researching tax inquiries.
  • Provide tax guidance to clients and / or internal organization.
  • Review & maintain all tax rate changes in both Payroll and Tax Systems.
  • Review all tax set up information in Payroll and Tax Systems.
  • Insure that all necessary power of attorney documents has been signed and filed from client base.
  • Apply for new tax accounts as needed.
  • Other duties as appropriate to the objectives of the role and goals of Resourcing Edge.

Key measurables : Highly analytical, attention to details, accurate and good written communication skills

Preferred Skills :

  • Certified payroll professional (preferred)
  • Mastertax software (Preferred)
  • Experience in Prism, MasterTax, Isolved products
  • Excel pivots tables
  • Required Experience :

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within short-term time frames.
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt quickly to ever changing business needs.
  • Familiar with payroll tax processing rules & regulations.
  • Comfortable working with tax agencies and clients both orally and in writing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location.
