Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Auditor

As our Inpatient Production Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing inpatient cases and reviewing inpatient medical records for validation while maintaining excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Every day, you will be expected to play an intricate part in providing analytical expertise for the validation process while evaluating claim reimbursement potential based on coding assignment.

To thrive you must be detail-oriented and flexible in a work environment.RESPONSIBILITIESAudit inpatient cases for DRG validationReview inpatient medical records for validation of DRG assignmentProvide detailed rationale and supporting evidence for recommendation and findingsUtilize industry-recognized references to support their review findings, such as the ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, AHIMA Practice Briefs related to compliant querying, and AHA Coding ClinicsEvaluate claim reimbursement potential based on coding assignmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSCCS RequiredRecently credentialed encouraged to applyStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with multiple EMR Systems such as Epic, Cerner, and MeditechStrong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Access experience is a plus)Must be able to organize workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detailAbility to work in a flexible environment, adapting to changing prioritiesSelf-starter who is eager to learn, and can work independently and in a dynamic environmentFor this US-based position, the base pay range is $38,487.

87 - $64,381.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
