Physical Therapy Aide
Physical Therapy Aides (includes Technician and Intern) serve as support personnel under the direct on-premises supervision of the physical therapist. Aides perform designated tasks related to the management of the patient and the operation of the physical therapy department. Responsibilities include patient transport, preparation and cleaning of treatment areas, clerical tasks, handling of topical medications, and general assistance to patients, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. Aides may assist pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and disabilities.
Minimum Education Requirement : High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement : On-the-job training. Excellent customer service skills required.
Minimum License Requirement : BLS required. Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.
