Job Summary
Taylor Home Improvement is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. As a family-owned, community-focused company, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about helping homeowners improve and protect their homes. In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating leads, building rapport with homeowners, and closing sales that align with their needs and our expert services. You’ll represent Taylor Home Improvement in your territory, engaging with both new and existing customers to provide trusted recommendations and guide them through the home improvement process.



Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building:
    • Develop rapport and build lasting relationships with both existing and potential customers. Your ability to listen, communicate, and provide trusted recommendations is at the heart of what we do.
  • Territory Management:
    • Travel to scheduled appointments and meetings within your assigned territory. Be punctual, professional, and prepared to educate homeowners on how Taylor Home Improvement can serve their needs.
  • Sales Performance:
    • Consistently meet or exceed your designated sales targets. Your success helps strengthen our presence and impact across the community.
  • Sales Strategy Execution:
    • Create and implement a personal sales strategy that aligns with Taylor Home Improvement’s mission and values. Take initiative, plan strategically, and adjust your approach based on real-time insights and feedback.
  • CRM Documentation:
    • Accurately document all leads, appointments, sales, and customer interactions in the company CRM. This helps us provide a seamless experience and maintain clear communication across departments.
  • Canvassing and Door Knocking:
    • Complete a minimum of 50 door knocks per day, averaging 250 per week. All activity must be logged and updated regularly. While this is the baseline, exceeding this number is encouraged to unlock greater earning potential and business growth.
  • Self-Generated Leads:
    • Proactively engage in self-generation activities to identify new opportunities. Distribute flyers and door hangers in neighborhoods with active job sites to increase visibility and brand awareness.
  • Use of Canvassing Tools:
    • Utilize the provided canvassing app and reference the active production board to identify and prioritize high-opportunity neighborhoods.
  • Event Participation:
    • Represent Taylor Home Improvement at company-sponsored events such as home shows, farmers markets, and local community gatherings to connect with homeowners and promote our services.
  • Insurance Claim Assistance:
    • When necessary, assist customers with inspecting and filing insurance claims for storm-related damage or other qualifying repairs.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Previous experience in outside sales preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to be persistent
