The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing Izzio Artisan Bakery’s payroll processing, benefits program, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, efficient benefits administration, proper accounting of payroll and benefit transactions, and the effective use of HRIS for data management and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Benefits and Payroll Administratio n

• Process payroll and ensure employee reporting and payroll activities are completed and payroll is accurate.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any payroll-related issues. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and claims issues.
• Administer benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and ancillary benefits.
• Plan and conduct monthly and annual benefit enrollment, including communication, education, and system updates.
• Manage and coordinate with HR, leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and company leave policies.

Reports to : Director of Payroll & Benefits

Location : On-site – Louisville CO

Compensation is based on the level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.

Compensation Range : $75,000 to $90,000
