55 views Job Description Now Hiring Purchasing Clerk for Phoenix building materials company! Seeking candidate with two years of experience, bilingual in Spanish and English, and forklift experience.
Convenient Work schedule : Monday through Friday 7 AM-3 : 30 PM. Casual dress code and steel toe boots required. The Purchasing Clerk position is a dynamic opportunity that includes the following responsibilities :
Procurement : Assist in the purchasing process for building materials, tools, and other supplies according to established protocols.
Compare prices from various vendors, negotiating with them to secure the best deals. Generate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
Inventory Management : Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders. Update inventory levels and maintain accurate records using designated software or system.
Prepare and stage materials for customer pickup or delivery.
Forklift Operation : Safely operate a forklift to unload incoming deliveries, move inventory within the warehouse, and load outgoing orders.
Conduct routine forklift maintenance inspections and report any issues.
- Customer Service : Assist customers with product inquiries and order information over the phone or in person. Resolve minor customer issues related to orders or deliveries.
- Other Duties : Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in inventory counts and other special projects as required.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and 7 panel drug test.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing or warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong data entry skills.
- Valid forklift operator's license with experience in safe and efficient operation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and customers (Spanish and English)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and stamina for lifting and carrying materials.
