Job Summary :
We’re seeking a Test Technician II to support testing and validation of automotive systems and components. In this role, you’ll configure and operate specialized test equipment, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure compliance with ISO and IATF standards. You’ll also assist with test setups, suggest design improvements, and maintain accurate records.
Job Responsibilities :
- Operates systems and specialized equipment in test and process environments to conduct work requiring precision and strict observation.
- Configure necessary hardware and specialized test equipment as needed to complete assigned testing.
- Follows prescribed work methods in accomplishment of assignments. Maintains proper and appropriate records and files.
- Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and suggest application of standard or non-standard techniques.
- Suggests design changes, test modifications or recommends improvements in design, production methods or materials.
- Experience with automotive industry test specifications.
- Testing experience with lines and assemblies in automotive brake, fuel, coolant, and refrigerant applications preferred.
- Functions with general direction and little day-to-day supervision on complex programs involving various equipment and instruments.
- Assists other technicians with their tests set up and interpretation of instruction and technical engineering or design requirements.
- Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct.
- Ensures adequate and continuous control procedures are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with internal and external customers which broadly includes suppliers and stakeholders.
- Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Ensures compliance to ISO 17025 laboratory quality standard requirements, corporate IATF 16949 automotive management system, and ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Ensures compliance to the responsibilities within ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 environmental health and safety standards.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications :
Strong mechanical aptitude.Knowledge of basic math.Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex.Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.Written and verbal communications basic skills.High School Diploma or equivalent.Associate's degree in engineering or related field preferred.Working Conditions :
Occasionally lifts and / or carries up to 50 pounds.Maneuvers in, around and under factory and / or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes / chemicals.EEO Statement :
