Director Of Business Development - E-Mobility

Sonepar Management Group (SMG) supports our Sonepar brands (i.e. operating companies) in the US through a shared services model. We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Business Development E-Mobility to accelerate growth across our EV verticals, including multi-family, retail, fleet, and municipal markets. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about shaping the future of electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Enablement

  • Support Operating Companies by equipping E-Mobility sales teams with tools, resources, and training.
  • Identify regional market opportunities and inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with EV Charging vendors to optimize lead-sharing programs.
  • Develop training and sales collateral to empower Account Managers.

Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire qualified national or multi-state E-Mobility customers.
  • Coordinate unified proposals across Operating Companies.
  • Negotiate profitable customer agreements and manage ongoing success.
  • Market Insights & Regulatory Affairs

  • Stay informed on regulatory affairs, incentives, and EV product developments.
  • Attend industry networking events and trade shows.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business development and sales enablement experience.
  • Experience in electrical or solar distribution preferred.
  • Deep understanding of residential and commercial E-Mobility product lines.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10+ years in E-Mobility or related vertical).
