Description :
Position available in an Intermediate Care Center.
Start date is as soon as possible.
There is no call requirement.
Weekends are required every other weekend.
One holiday is required per 13 weeks.
Floating between units is expected.
Patient ratios are 1 : 4-5 based on acuity.
A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Active state license must be obtained prior to the start date.
Guaranteed hours are 36 per week.
Special requirements include Telemetry and IV start experience.
The facility type is a short-term acute center.
It is a Magnet-designated facility with Level III Trauma capability.
Total staffed beds are 244.
The charting system used is Cerner.
No cost for parking.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 26.
The unit comprises 30 rooms and 24 beds.
High-acuity patient diagnoses include respiratory issues, endocrine disorders, sepsis, and drug overdoses.
Additional patient diagnoses include liver failure, GI bleed, and pneumonia.
Special procedures include non-titrated cardiac drips and insulin protocols.
Staff support in the unit includes various interdisciplinary teams.
Travelers are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as necessary.
All required certifications must be obtained prior to the start date.
Charting experience with Cerner is required.
Professional conduct is critical, and any unprofessional behavior may lead to contract termination.
