Software Engineer C++, Python, Fortran, Modeling-Simulation Software

Scientific/R&D Software Engineer with C++, Python and (yes) Fortran is a plus.

Seeking a highly technical Software Engineer to develop modeling and simulation tools used in advanced engineering-scientific applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong scientific programming skills and experience working with physics-based simulation environments.

Desired Skills/Experience: 5+ years with most of these:
  • Programming: C++ and Python (no databases)...Fortran is a Plus.
  • Tools & Environments: Visual Studio (Windows/Azure) and/or Git (GitLab)
Pluses:
  • Simulation Software: GSE's simulation tools-suite is preferred.
  • Thermal-Hydraulics applications
  • Strong Engineering & Math background: Thermal-hydraulic fundamentals, numerical methods for PDEs, ability to interpret P&IDs
  • Experience Developing modeling and/or simulator software.
  • Experience Integrate and support GSE simulation tools and scientific analysis codes.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to improve simulation capabilities..
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related technical field (ABET preferred)..
  • Experience with scientific programming, simulation workflows, and modern development tools.
