- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications Monitors Contractor progress against the project schedule Negotiates the settlement of changes and claims Prepares contract change orders Coordinates outside agency support of the contractor schedule Monitors Contractor Quality Control efforts through daily inspections Oversees and coordinates staff functions Assigns inspectors tasks Holds weekly coordination meetings with contractor Assures maintenance of project records, files, and "as-built" data Prepares and issues daily and weekly resident engineer's reports Calculates and documents fields quantities for payment purposes Monitors and enforces Contractor Safety Program Performs constructability review and provides comments on design packages Coordinates the design, permits, and agreements with stakeholders Performs duties as the owner representative directed by the project manager or construction manager Requirements : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Management on transit and transportation projects of at least $30 Million Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction projects Registered Professional Engineer, preferred Authorized to work in the USA Rail experience a plus!
