We’re looking for a tech-savvy and process-driven Benefits Administrator to join a fast-paced, client-focused agency that specializes in insurance and employee benefits. This is a dynamic, on-site role suited for someone who thrives in structured environments, values accuracy, and is ready to grow in the insurance field.

About the Role

The Benefits Administrator will play a crucial role in managing the agency’s various programs and services, ensuring a smooth, accurate, and efficient benefits administration process. As the first point of contact for both clients and carriers, this detail-oriented role is essential to delivering a high-quality service experience. Working closely with the company owner, you will also be responsible for the agency’s administrative processes, directly contributing to its ongoing growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience who is looking to advance their insurance career alongside a knowledgeable and experienced agent.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, clients, and carriers, offering clear guidance and delivering a high-quality customer service experience.
  • Monitor employee status changes, eligibility dates, and waiting periods to ensure timely benefits enrollment.
  • Accurately enter and manage large volumes of sensitive data across various systems.
  • Conduct cyclical client audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA, ERISA, and others).
  • Coordinate enrollment sessions and serve as liaison between clients and carriers.
  • Reconcile carrier-related invoices and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Perform general administrative duties and provide executive-level administrative support when needed.
  • What You Bring to the Team

    Required qualifications :

  • Florida 2-15 license or willingness to obtain it (employer is willing to cover the cost).
  • College diploma in business administration, human resources, finance, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in benefits administration, insurance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits, group insurance, and enrollment processes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with claims CPT codes, EOBs, and reconciliation processes (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, carriers, and employees.
  • Strong customer service background
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (required to support a diverse client base).
  • Technical skills :

  • Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software
  • Proficiency in Employee Navigator, EASE, ADP, and Soho Desk (preferred)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage and organize large datasets

  • Available to travel for off-site open enrollment support (Periodic).
