NewRiverElectricalislookingforaqualifiedTaxAccountantwithadesiretoworkintheconstructionindustry.
TheTaxAccountantsupportstheaccountingfunctionandtheirprojects.TheTaxAccountantisconsideredthesubjectmatterexpertandisprimarilyresponsibleforanalyzingfinancialtaxinformation,providingtaxstrategyandcounsel,andpreparetaxrelatedfinancialreports.Thisrolewillhandle taxpreparation,taxplanningandcompliance. TheTaxAccountantwillhandlefederal,state,andlocalpayrolltaxreturns,taxaccountprovisioningandtaxresearchprojects,includingworkingcloselywithourfinancefunctionsandexternaladvisers.Thisisafull-timepositionandreportstoSeniorAccountantII.
Duties / Responsibilities
Ownershipforaccurateandtimelypreparedconsolidatedfederal,state,andlocalpayrolltaxreturns,extensions,payments / estimates / forecastsandsupportingdocumentationacrossourUSbusiness.
- Respondtofederal,state,andlocaltaxnoticesandmanagingfederal,state,andlocaltaxauditsandexaminations.
- Performingtaxresearch,consulting,andothertaxprojectstosupportourbusiness.
- Supportsystemsandprocessimprovementprojectstogainefficienciesinourtaxfunction.
- Keepinguptodatewithlegislativedevelopmentsandensuringimplicationsofchangesareaddressedappropriately.
- Prepareannualbusinesslicenseapplications,personalpropertytaxreturns,multi-statesales / usetaxreturns,payrolltaxdepositsandquarterlyandannualfilings.
- Compilesinformation,completesapplications,andoverseesrenewalrequirementsforvariousstatelicensures.
- Preparemonthlyandquarterlyreconciliationsandassistwithmonth-endcloseprocedures.
- Assistwithyear-endaccountingprocessesandprepareW-2filings.
- EnsurecompliancewithGAAPprinciples.
- Developanddocumentbusinessprocessestostrengthenandmaintaininternalcontrols.
- Maintainelectronicfilingsystems.

Qualifications
Bachelorsdegreeinaccounting,finance,orarelatedfieldplus2-4yearsofexperienceintaxaccounting,CPAlicenseastrongplus.
