We are looking for our

Founding CTO .

You will be the technical soul of the company. You will partner directly with the CEO to turn a provisional patent and a Rust prototype into the global standard for AI auditing. You will own the architecture, the engineering culture, and the technical narrative presented to investors, CISOs, and regulators.

Joe Braidwood (CEO) :

Ex-SwiftKey CMO (acquired by Microsoft for $250M). Built the initial Rust / WASM prototype to prove the physics.

Dr. Jennifer Shannon (Chief Clinical Advisor) :

FDA regulatory expert. Translates clinical safety requirements into system specs.

We have the raw materials : a working prototype, core IP (S3P Protocol), $1.3M in compute credits, and design partners in healthcare and fintech. We need the technical visionary to scale it.

The Mandate

You are not just a “manager.” In Year 1, you are the Lead Architect and Primary Contributor. In Year 2, you are the leader of an elite engineering organization.

1. Own the Technical Strategy

You will make the irreversible decisions. How do we implement the witness service across multi-cloud environments? How do we balance the latency budget ( 2. Build the “Safety by Construction” Culture

You will set the engineering standard. You will define how we write high-assurance software in Rust. You will build a culture where “unsafe” blocks are scrutinized, where formal verification is a goal, and where we treat the compiler as a member of the team. You will hire and mentor the 3-5 elite engineers who will follow your lead.

3. The Boardroom & The Basement

You must be able to deep-dive into no_std Rust memory management in the morning, and then present technical due diligence to Tier-1 VCs or a Fortune 500 CISO in the afternoon. You are the external face of our technical credibility.

The Architecture (Your Domain)

GLACIS is a zero-egress evidence collection system. It runs as a sidecar that intercepts requests, canonicalizes them, and generates cryptographic attestations without exposing sensitive payload data.

The Core Tech Stack :

Runtime :

Rust compiled to WASM (Lambda@Edge, Cloudflare Workers), designed for high-throughput, low-latency environments.

Cryptography :

Ed25519-consensus, HMAC-SHA256, Merkle Trees.

The Innovation :

You will own the commercialization of our

S3P (Statistical Safety Signal Protocol) —a novel approach using Policy-Scoped PRFs and Co-Epoch Binding to prove unbiased sampling and binary integrity.

Who We Are Looking For

The Profile :

You are likely a Principal / Staff Engineer or Architect at a hyperscaler or high-scale startup who is tired of incremental optimization and wants to define a new category. Or, you are a repeat technical founder who loves the “0 to 1” phase of deep infrastructure.

Must-Haves :

Polymath Engineering :

You are elite in Rust and systems programming, but you also understand the broader landscape of cloud infrastructure, network security, and modern AI deployment patterns.

Applied Cryptography Intuition :

You understand why we use ed25519 over ECDSA in distributed systems. You know the difference between a Merkle Tree and a Verkle Tree and why it matters for light clients.

Strategic Pragmatism :

You can balance the need for cryptographic purity with the reality of shipping a pilot to a healthcare customer in 6 weeks. You know when to incur technical debt and when to pay it down.

Communication :

You can explain a Zero-Knowledge Proof to a non-technical insurance underwriter without making them feel stupid.

Nice-to-Haves :

Experience in Standards Bodies (IETF, W3C, ISO).

Background in regulated sectors (Health, Finance, Gov).

Experience scaling engineering teams from 1 to 20.
