Overview
As the leader for Enterprise-wide FX Sales, this role has accountability for driving Sales & Relationship Management strategy, and supporting broader Product & Trading strategy, to ensure an exceptional client experience, and efficiency for the bank. This position combines elements of vision, leadership, strategy, sales, prioritization, execution, risk management, compliance, and accountability for team and business performance.
Responsibilities
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION :
- Evolve, communicate and execute enterprise-wide FX sales strategy that pursues sustainable business growth across all unique client segments
- Support broader bank-wide sales strategy evolution, elevating and scaling the focus on FX
- Evolve cross-functional organizational design and client coverage models to meet client needs and business objectives inside and outside of FX department
- Advise executive leadership, inside and outside of FX, on business performance and strategic initiatives
- Drive clear and consistent prioritizing of capacity, inside and outside of Sales org, aligned with long-term business strategy
- Collaborate with all Business Units and Functions, including Bankers, Credit teams, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, and Sales Enablement, to advance sales alignment and fee income growth across the enterprise
- Collaborate with other senior business leaders, advising on market trends and specific, actionable insights inside and outside of FX
- Serve as FX subject matter expert and decision maker across strategy and transformation / change agendas being led outside of FX
- Identify, align and execute large cross-functional projects that drive sustainable growth strategy
- Proactive contextual adviser to executive leadership on strategic and technological gaps, as well as positive results for all aspects of the FX client base
- Define, document and manage operating standards for the business
- BAU management of Sales Trading functions and associated opportunities / risks

Own the sales strategy, execution, P&L and overall success of the FX client baseDevelop and manage clear growth-focused goals and KPI’s that are highly aligned to strategy, and communicate progress with key stakeholdersTrack, understand and convey business performance at the product and client segment levelsManage the budget and make appropriate decisions considering employees, clients, and shareholders, understanding how sustainable revenue is generated for the bank across all unique client segmentsDrive segment budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with applicable Business Units and internal partner teamsLeverage technology and data to scale tracking, capacity, impact, and communicationRISK MANAGEMENT :
Establish competitive execution, pricing and risk management standards combined with robust oversight and accountabilityUnderstand and meet all compliance and regulatory requirements, which includes keeping up to date on domestic and international regulatory trends and market best practicesWork with internal risk, compliance and legal teams to ensure relevant procedures, processes, technology, operating model and oversight adhere to requirementsAct as internal escalation point for risk events across all FX product types from sales standards to execution and settlementSuccessfully navigate all internal and external examsCLIENT AND STAKEHOLDER ADVANCEMENT :
Develop and maintain strong networks (internal and external) to advance the FX business advancementActively promote FCB and SVB brands by participating in internal and external thought leadership and eventsAttend senior client facing sales and relationship calls and eventsEstablish strong partnerships with cross-product sales leadership, and Banker segment sales leadership to provide business updates and drive a more connected and proactive sales culture across the enterpriseADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Sales Trading Experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Sales Trading Experience.Preferred Qualifications :
Expertise in go-to-market strategy, client development, life cycle advancements.Expertise in FX and capital markets organizational structures.Expertise developing and executing a growth-oriented business plan through sales strategy, product capabilities and technology.Proven track record of building and managing dynamic, successful and motivated teams.
Deep understanding of underpinning risk, regulatory, and legal and compliance landscape.Sales Trading experience at a Swap Dealer Institution.Certifications :
Swap dealer certifications may be required at a future date
If hired in NY or CA the base pay for this position is generally between $375,000.00 and $425,000.00. If hired in NC or GA, the base pay for this position is generally between $325,000 and $375,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and / or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
