Role Purpose

This critical leadership role will lead the transformation of Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) from a project-delivery model to a product operating model. As Director, Product Management Office, you will build and scale the Product Management Office and serve as the Product Management Center of Excellence (PM COE) Ownerestablishing the standards, governance, and capabilities required to manage durable products, value streams, and roadmaps that deliver measurable business outcomes. As the PM CoE Owner, you will define and uphold product management standards, playbooks, and capability-building programs, while partnering with D&IT and business leaders to shift ways of working (intake, prioritization, funding, delivery, and measurement) toward outcome-based product management. The role will own and actively manage the product portfolio for all Employee Experience products, with a strong focus on our modernized intranet (Cobalt) and proprietary employee chatbot (Little Joe). Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the position will ensure our solutions deliver maximum value, user satisfaction, and measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish Product Management Framework: Develop and roll out a standardized product management methodology, including processes, tools, and governance for D&IT. Create tools and resources to support product managers and foster a culture of product excellence. Drive alignment between product, engineering, design, and business teams; champion agile, iterative approaches.
  • Lead the Project-to-Product Transformation: Partner with D&IT and business leaders to design and implement a product operating model (product taxonomy, ownership, decision rights, and governance). Evolve intake and prioritization to focus on value, outcomes, and capacity; reduce project handoffs and increase product continuity. Define portfolio and product-level metrics (OKRs/KPIs), benefits realization, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
  • Product Management Center of Excellence (PM COE) Ownership: Serve as the organizational owner of the PM COE, setting the vision, strategy, and roadmap for product management excellence. Define, document, and continuously improve product management standards, playbooks, templates, and training curriculums. Lead capability-building programs, certifications, and communities of practice to elevate product management skills across the organization. Foster a culture of innovation, shared learning, and continuous improvement among all product teams.
  • Portfolio Leadership: Own the strategy, vision, and portfolio management for Employee Experience products, including Cobalt intranet and Little Joe chatbot. Oversee product lifecycle from ideation through sunset, including roadmaps, prioritization, and resourcing. Define product KPIs, measure success, and optimize investments across the portfolio.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, communications, and IT leads to ensure products meet evolving employee needs. Listen to employees and partner to capture feedback, pain points, and new feature ideas. Communicate product performance, plans, and impact at executive and operational levels.
  • Team Building & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers; inspire and grow internal product management capabilities. Foster a results-oriented and innovative team culture.
  • Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership: Stay current with industry best practices, trends, and technologies in employee experience, product management, and digital workplace solutions. Advocate for user-centric design, experimentation, and data-driven decision making.

Proven ability to drive adoption of best practices, lead organizational change, and build product management capabilities. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills.
