What are the essential functions and responsibilities of this position?
- Assist Technical Manager on quality and processing issues.
- Attend daily reject meetings and lead root cause analysis of non-conforming product and processes.
- Assist in implementing Continuous Improvement and Statistical Process Control methodologies such as 8D, Control Charts, Control Plans and Failure Modes and Effect Analysis.
- Initiate, drive, and support programs for elimination of waste and variation in manufacturing methods.
- Conduct process audits against procedures and develop Standard Work Instructions.
- Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Drive culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices using statistical process control and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Support project teams in process quality activities by educating, coaching, and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools, and application. Monitor follow-up activity to insure completion of improvements.
- Propose, plan, and manage continuous improvement events.
What is the work experience required for this position?
3-5 years related experience in ceramic refractory industry.What are the educational requirements for this position?
Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering. / Material Science and Engineering or related field from accredited university or collegeKnowledge of 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement tools.Good knowledge of Statistical Process Control principles.What are the physical, mental and behavioral requirements for this position?
