Quality Engineer

What are the essential functions and responsibilities of this position?

• Assist Technical Manager on quality and processing issues.
• Attend daily reject meetings and lead root cause analysis of non-conforming product and processes.
• Assist in implementing Continuous Improvement and Statistical Process Control methodologies such as 8D, Control Charts, Control Plans and Failure Modes and Effect Analysis.
• Initiate, drive, and support programs for elimination of waste and variation in manufacturing methods.
• Conduct process audits against procedures and develop Standard Work Instructions.
• Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Drive culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices using statistical process control and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Support project teams in process quality activities by educating, coaching, and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools, and application. Monitor follow-up activity to insure completion of improvements.
• Propose, plan, and manage continuous improvement events.
