Job Description

Job Summary :

The Warehouse Material Handler I will move, store, and prepare materials at our loading dock at distribution center using hand or machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks. This role will also include loading / unloading trucks, organizing stock, fulfilling orders, maintaining inventory records, and following safety protocols to ensure materials are moved accurately and efficiently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Material Handling

  • Loading and unloading materials from trucks, storage, and production areas using manual labor or equipment.

Order Fulfillment

  • Picking, packing, and staging materials to fulfill customer orders for shipment.

    • Inventory Management

  • Performing inventory counts, updating inventory records, and monitoring stock levels to identify low supplies.

    • Equipment Operation

  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and position materials.

    • Shipment Preparation

  • Securing, wrapping, and labeling packages for outgoing shipments and checking incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.

    • Workplace Safety

  • Adhering to all safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and performing routine equipment inspections and cleaning.

    • Minimum Qualifications :

    Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of ERP / WMS systems
  • Understanding of proper stacking and storage methods

    • Experience :

  • Experience with operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one (active and valid driver’s license is required).

    • Skills / Abilities :

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

    • VALID AND ACTIVE DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED

    Pay Rate : $18.00 hr. Compensation & Benefits :
