About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to oversee the nursing practice across its various hospital facilities. The CNO will be responsible for advancing the strategic goals of the health system, participating in system-wide initiatives, and fostering a professional culture of visible, engaged, and supportive leadership. Building and maintaining academic and community partnerships, as well as creating a culture that encourages innovation and the pursuit of unique solutions, are also key aspects of the role.
Candidates for the CNO position at the company must have a Bachelors and Masters degree, with at least one degree in nursing, and be a licensed RN or eligible for licensure in Texas. A minimum of 12 years of progressive nursing experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role, is required. Experience as a CNO or ACNO is essential, with a strong preference for those who have worked in an academic medical center. The ideal candidate will have experience with or knowledge of Magnet designation principles and be prepared to lead the nursing practice in a way that is in line with the company's mission of creating value for patients and populations.
