We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in the Energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial matters, including month-end close, journal entries, financial statements, and revenue recognition. This position will be HYBRID, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include :

1. Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

2. Preparing and reviewing journal entries as part of the accounting cycle.

3. Creating and analyzing financial statements, providing insights on financial health and performance.

4. Implementing revenue recognition practices in line with accounting standards and company policies.

5. Utilizing One Stream, NetSuite, and Workiva for financial planning, reporting, and data management.

6. Helping to integrate new acquisitions.

7. Collaborating with other team members on financial audits, compliance checks, and other accounting projects.

8. Staying abreast of industry trends and regulations in the alternative energy sector.

9. Serving as a key contributor to the company's financial strategy and long-term financial planning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications :

1. CPA certification is preferred

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy or alternative energy industry.

3. Prior experience with Big 4 accounting firms is highly desirable.

4. Proficiency in One Stream, NetSuite, and Workiva software or similar ERP / Systems

5. Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and practices.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

9. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

10. Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
