Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Phoenix area. Our client is an award-winning commercial general contractor based in Minneapolis, specializing in multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. Known for managing complex projects and delivering them to the highest standards, they are proud of their strong relationships and employee-centered culture.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who values integrity, accountability, and collaboration. The Project Manager will play a key role in leading construction projects from start to finish, with direct influence on design and trade partner choices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and direct project teams while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Oversee all project activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
  • Manage client and contract requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and on-site representatives
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Interns
  • Execute change orders and negotiate with owners and subcontractors
  • Monitor project progress and financial health, adjusting plans as needed
  • Prepare and present project reports to management and clients

Required Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel; experience with Procore, Timberline, Sage, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction best practices
  • Experience with wood frame and multi-family construction
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Experience with commercial estimating is a plus
